Social media and social networking have
received a tremendous amount of hype over
the last two years. Some claim it will change
capitalism forever; others have declared it a
complete waste of time. This session looks at
some evidence as to how social media has
changed the way business is being done for
the Thinking Digital Conference – a young
conference that has managed to establish
itself regionally and nationally with surprising
speed through the accidental application of
social tools like Twitter, blogs and shareable
online video.
Biography
Founder & Director of the Thinking Digital
Conference. As the Director of the Thinking
Digital Conference and the CEO of Codeworks,
Herbert brings 17 years of experience in
technology & media related businesses.
Prior to his current role, Herbert was at mobile
phone operator 02, where he was Head of
Marketing for 02’s incubator division.
Other senior roles include UK Managing
Director for QXL.com, Head of Partner
Relations at BOL.com, General Manager of
Blackwell’s Online Bookshop and Marketing
Manager at IBM.
Herbert has an MBA in Strategic Management
from the Wharton School and graduated with
honors in History at Princeton University.
Herbert was born in Brooklyn, NY and has
resided in the UK for 13 years. He and his
partner have the privilege of raising a young
daughter, Alice.
