Biography
Councillor Dave Allan is the Portfolio Holder for Resources on Sunderland City Council where amongst his responsibilities is the Councils ICT department. He is also the Council members ICT champion. Dave has been a councillor in Sunderland since 1983 representing the Thorney Close and Sandhill wards.
Councillor Allan is also a disability activist and is working on projects in partnership with Sunderland TPCT and other partners to develop ways of improving through ICT the lives of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. He is particularly busy at this time as another of his functions is to deliver the Councils budget for the next financial year, which in recent years has delivered the lowest council tax in the North East region for the people of Sunderland.
